Welcome to the GroLabs journal

Why we built an AI-assisted search and conversion stack for small e-commerce stores — and what we'll be writing about here.

Most small e-commerce stores quietly bleed revenue in five places: internal search, product description SEO, checkout friction, returns from mismatched expectations, and — increasingly — answer engines bypassing them entirely. None of these are new problems, but the tooling to solve them used to require an enterprise budget.

GroLabs exists to close that gap. We’re shipping a small, opinionated stack that diagnoses where your funnel is leaking, applies a targeted fix, and verifies the result within hours — not quarters. It’s built on the assumption that the difference between scaling and stagnating is usually two or three friction points, not a wholesale platform rewrite.

This journal will follow the work. Expect posts on:

  • How we measure funnel leakage when GA4 alone isn’t enough
  • The economics of internal site search at small catalog sizes
  • Practical AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) for product pages
  • Build notes on the GroLabs platform itself — what we ship, what we ripped out

If you’re a small store operator who wants to recover lost revenue without paying for more traffic, the rest of this site is for you. If you want the behind-the-scenes — that’s here.
